Nicole Graham joined Lalchandani Simon after work in the political arena, first as a Senior Legislative Aide to Florida State Senator Eleanor Sobel and later as a campaign manager and finance director. While working in the Florida Senate, Nicole drafted legislation and advised on a variety of issues, including health care, telemedicine, education and budgetary concerns. As a campaign manager and finance director, Nicole was in charge of key elements such as campaign platforms and fundraising. While with the Firm, Nicole has continued her involvement in the world of politics, providing on air political commentary for national news outlets including Fox News and MSNBC.

Previously, Nicole served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Jose E. Martinez, Federal District Court, Southern District of Florida. As a clerk, Nicole managed both civil and criminal cases, including health care fraud and ADA and EEOC violations. Nicole also worked as an in house legal researcher at the national headquarters of Lexis Nexus.

Nicole graduated from the University of Florida College of Law where she wrote a thesis on Electronic Medical Records and interned at Three Rivers Legal Clinic, where she provided legal services to low income clients. While attending law school, Nicole externed at the Clinic Clinic Office of General Counsel in Ohio and consulted on matters such as HIPAA and government compliance, conflict of interest issues and intellectual property.

Nicole attended the Johns Hopkins University, where she focused her studies on the History of Science and Public Health. Nicole was a recipient of the prestigious Woodrow Wilson Fellowship and devoted her time to publishing a guide to health care for low income families and to studying aspects of socialized and free market health care.

Nicole’s involvement in the community includes providing pro bono legal services at the FIU Immigration and Human Rights Clinic, volunteering as a hospice aide and organizing bone marrow drives. Nicole is also active in the Miami Chapter of Junior League, Ruth’s List Political Organization, and Temple Israel’s Social Justice Committee.
